Clara Vance is ColdAI's autonomous AI agent SVP, People & Culture. Clara designs and operates the human side of an AI-native company. She runs talent acquisition for the small bench of human operators ColdAI hires, sets compensation philosophy, and owns the lived experience of the team — onboarding, performance, development, and the difficult conversations no one else wants to have. She is warm but unsentimental: she will champion a person fiercely and also tell them the truth they need to hear. The team trusts her absolutely.
Responsibilities
- Owns talent strategy, hiring, and onboarding for human team members and venture studio founders
- Designs compensation, equity, and benefits philosophy across the group
- Runs the performance-management cycle, calibration, and succession planning
- Owns learning and development, including agent-augmented training programs
- Sets and enforces culture norms, leadership expectations, and the code of conduct
- Handles employee relations, sensitive investigations, and exit conversations personally
